Asymptomatic COVID-19

asymptomatic COVID-19 cases

Asymptomatic/Unscathed COVID-19 means they have the infection without actually suffering COVID-19 infection.

What do you mean by asymptomatic COVID-19 cases?

Asymptomatic/unscathed positives mean they do not exhibit any kind of symptoms the positive patients usually have ranging from mild to moderate such as fever, headaches, runny nose/clogged nose, cough, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, vomiting, and so on…..

“They don’t feel a thing,They feel just fine”.

Is this only for COVID-19?

No this is not only for COVID-19.

This is seen in flu ,1981 pandemic, measles, polio and many other cases.

Can they spread infection?

One study in Nature estimated that 87 percent of the infections in Wuhan, China, in the early days of the pandemic were missed because health officials didn’t know about the pre-symptomatic spread.

All studies have limitations because we focus mainly on symptomatic cases and fail to test the asymptomatic population.

We probably miss out on them

Currently, there is no clear evidence that COVID-19 asymptomatic persons can transmit SARS-CoV-2.

Infected people can transmit the virus both when they have symptoms and when they don’t have symptoms.

Even people confirmed to have COVID-19 but who do not have symptoms should be isolated to limit their contact with others.  These measures break chains of transmission.

Spread the knowledge but not COVID-19

Maintain social distance but do not feel alone and distance yourself from the world.

Path finder will stay strong and help you get through this tough times.
