HOUSTON (Reuters) – A Democrat nominee after Jimmy Carter has not won a presidential election in the state of Texas. Republican candidate Donald Trump is 5 points ahead of the Hobby School for Public Affairs at the University of Texas in a poll released Monday. Fifty percent of those surveyed said they had voted for Trump or were going to do so. 44.7% of voters support Democrat candidate Joe Biden.

Washington: The Senate has approved Amy Connie Barrett, 48, who was nominated by President Donald Trump, overcoming all controversy surrounding the appointment of a Supreme Court judge just before the election.
