Reliance profits fall; Jio’s jumped.
Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries today reported a net profit of Rs 9,567 crore for the three months ended September 2020.
11,262 crore during the same period last year, down 15 per cent. Revenue fell to Rs 1.2 lakh crore from Rs 1.56 lakh crore.
Meanwhile, Jio, a telecom venture under Reliance, has tripled its profits. For the three months ended September 2020, Jio’s net profit rose to Rs 2,844 crore.
990 crore during the same period last year. Revenue rose 33 per cent to Rs 17,481 crore.
